Product Introduction
Serenoa repens, commonly known as saw palmetto, is the sole species currently classified in the genus Serenoa. It has been known by a number of synonyms, including Sabal serrulatum, under which name it still often appears in alternative medicine. It is a small palm, growing to a maximum height of around 7-10 ft (2-3 m). Its trunk is sprawling, and it grows in clumps or dense thickets in sandy coastal lands or as undergrowth in pine woods or hardwood hammocks. Erect stems or trunks are rarely produced but are found in some populations. It is endemic to the southeastern United States, most commonly along the Atlantic and Gulf Coastal plains, but also as far inland as southern Arkansas.

Function
1.Effectively inhibit the activity of 5a-reductase, and antagonize the combination of androgen and androgen receptor in prostate tissue.
2.It has adrenergic antagonism and calcium blocking effect to improve bladder function and relieve spasm.
3.Inhibit the activity of cyclooxygenase and lipoxygenase, reduce the generation of inflammatory mediators such as leukotrienes and prostaglandins, and thus play an anti-inflammatory and anti-edema effect.
4.It contains a special natural bactericidal factor - phytate, which directly destroys the DNA polymerase of pathogens, destroys drug-resistant strains, and kills pathogen plasmids.
5.Activating immunity, producing three immune antibodies, IgG, IgG, and IgG, respectively, in the urinary tract mucosa, forming a three-layer protective film.
