Product Introduction
Red yeast rice is produced by fermenting rice with a specific species of mold. It contains the same active ingredient as cholesterol-lowering medications and has been studied for other benefits as well.
Monacolin K has two kinds of open loop and closed loop, in which the open loop Monacolin K can be directly absorbed by the human body, and the closed-loop structure requires the transaminase in the human liver to hydrolyze it into the open loop to work.Therefore, the ratio of open loop to closed loop of Monacolin K in monascus is usually used as an indicator of the quality of monascus.
