what is Aloe Vera Extract Barbaloin Aloin?
Aloe Vera Extract Barbaloin Aloin are mainly found on the inner surface of aloe vera leaves and possess various health benefits, such as promoting digestion, relieving constipation and diuresis, detoxifying the body, improving skin health, and exhibiting antibacterial properties.
The aloin content in aloe vera products varies depending on the variety, leaf age, harvesting time, and processing method. According to pharmacopoeia standards, the aloin content in dried aloe vera products is typically 15% to 25%; in whole leaf and leaf peel powders, it is 0.3% to 1%, while in pure aloe vera juice, the content is only 0.005%.

Aloe Vera Extract Glucoside Aloin benefits
Strong Laxative Effect
Aloe Vera Extract Glucoside are converted into aloe-emodin by bacteria in the colon, stimulating intestinal peristalsis and water secretion, producing a strong laxative effect. It has been used to treat stubborn constipation.
Antibacterial and Anti-inflammatory Effects
Aloe Vera Extract Glucoside Aloin has inhibitory effects on Staphylococcus aureus, Escherichia coli, etc., and can be used topically to treat skin infections.
Other effects: Aloin can also help eliminate toxins from the body, purify the blood, soften blood vessels, lower blood pressure and blood viscosity, promote blood circulation, and prevent arteriosclerosis and cerebral hemorrhage.

Method of extraction of aloin from aloe vera
The extraction of aloe vera glycosides primarily employs solvent extraction methods. First, fresh aloe vera leaves are washed and peeled, and the gel or whole leaves are crushed into a pulp. Then, the pulp is extracted with organic solvents such as methanol, ethanol, or acetone, with the temperature controlled at 40-60°C to improve efficiency. After centrifugation or filtration to remove residues, the extract is purified and separated using macroporous resin columns or silica gel column chromatography. Finally, the aloe vera glycoside powder is obtained through vacuum concentration and vacuum drying. In recent years, new technologies such as ultrasonic-assisted extraction and microwave-assisted extraction have also been applied, which can significantly shorten the extraction time and improve the yield.
