ISO Certified Companies Manufacturers High Quality Glycyrrhizic Acid High Concentration
Product Introduction
Glycyrrhizic acid comes from the roots and rhizomes of the leguminous plant licorice. It is the main active ingredient in licorice, with a content of about 10%. Glycyrrhizic acid, also known as glycyrrhizin and glycyrrhizin, is a glycoside composed of glycyrrhetinic acid and 2 molecules of glucuronic acid. It is a white to slightly yellow crystalline powder with no odor and a unique sweetness, about 200 times the sweetness of sucrose. Its sweetness is different from that of sweeteners such as sucrose. It takes a while to feel sweet after entering the mouth, but it retains for a long time. A small amount of glycyrrhizin and sucrose can be used together to reduce the sweetness by 20% without changing the sweetness. Although it has no aroma, it has a flavoring effect. The aqueous solution is weakly acidic, and the pH value of a 2% solution is 2.5~3.5. It is difficult to dissolve in water and dilute ethanol. It is easily soluble in hot water and becomes a viscous jelly after cooling. Glycyrrhizic acid is a triterpene saponin. In addition, there are glycyrrhizin and isoliquiritigenin.
Product Function
Antiviral effect
Glycyrrhizic acid has been used clinically to treat chronic hepatitis. Glycyrrhizic acid can significantly inhibit HIV replication in blood mononuclear cells of HIV-positive patients in vitro. Glycyrrhizic acid can also reduce the morbidity and mortality of mice infected with a lethal dose of influenza virus. Cinatl et al. compared the inhibition of triavirin, mycophenolic acid, pyrazofuranoside and glycyrrhizic acid on two SARS coronaviruses FFM-1 and FFM-2, and found that glycyrrhizic acid had the strongest inhibition on viral replication.
In terms of food:
1. Soy sauce: In addition to improving the saltiness to enhance the inherent taste of soy sauce, glycyrrhizic acid can also eliminate the bitterness of saccharin and enhance the chemical flavoring agents.
2. Pickles: In the marinating method of pickled pickles with saccharin, the bitterness of saccharin can be eliminated. In the pickling process, the shortcomings of fermentation failure, discoloration, and hardening caused by adding less sugar can be overcome.
3. Seasoning: This product can be added to pickling seasoning liquid, seasoning powder or temporary seasoning during diet to increase sweetness and reduce the strange taste of other chemical seasoning agents.
4. Bean paste: This product can be used to pickle small sauce herring to increase sweetness and make the taste uniform.
In terms of pharmaceutical cosmetics:
1. Glycyrrhizic acid is a natural surfactant, and its aqueous solution has weak foaming properties.
2. It has AGTH-like biological activity, strong antibacterial and anti-inflammatory functions, and is often used to treat mucosal diseases. It can prevent dental caries, angular cheilitis, etc. when used in oral hygiene products.
3. It has a wide range of compatibility. When used in skin care products, it can enhance the efficacy of other active ingredients in sun protection, whitening, antipruritic, conditioning, scar healing, etc.
4. It can be used as a compound with aescin and aescin to form a high-efficiency antiperspirant.
