Fisetin is a flavonol, a chemical with a unique structure that belongs to the flavonoid group of polyphenols. It can be found in many plants where it is a colorant. Fisetin is found in a variety of plants, Examples include Acacia greggii, Acacia berlandieri, yellow stained young buds of tree ferns (Rus cotinus), Butea frondosa(parrot tree), Gleditschia Triacanthos, Quebracho Colorado and A. podophylla, as well as Callitropsis nootkatensis(Phellodendron phellodendron).
