Vitamin B12 Methylcobalamin Powder
Product Introduction
Vitamin b12 Methylcobalamin is a methylated form of vitamin B12 and belongs to the vitamin B12 family, but it is not vitamin B12. These are two different drugs.
Mecobalamin is an endogenous coenzyme B12 that exists in the blood and bone marrow. Compared with other vitamin B12s, mecobalamin has a good effect on improving the conduction of neurons. Additionally, it can be directly utilized in the body, achieving better therapeutic results compared to other vitamin B12.

Methylcobalamin APPROPRIATE CROWD
Can vitamin B12 and methylcobalamin be used interchangeably?
Vitamin B12 and methylcobalamin both participate in biochemical reactions in the human body as coenzymes. The main functions are to promote methyl transfer; promote the development and maturation of red blood cells, keep the body's hematopoietic function in a normal state, and prevent pernicious anemia; promote the biosynthesis of nucleic acids and proteins; exist in the form of coenzymes, increase the utilization of folic acid, and promote the metabolism of carbohydrates, fats and proteins. It is mainly used clinically to treat megaloblastic anemia and peripheral neuropathy.
Oral vitamin B12 can only be absorbed into the blood through the intestinal wall and converted into methylcobalamin in cells to exert biological activity only when combined with intrinsic factor (a glycoprotein secreted by the gastric mucosa). Vitamin B12 can only be injected into the body for vitamin B12 deficiency diseases caused by lack of intrinsic factor, such as some pernicious anemia. However, methylcobalamin is not subject to these restrictions and can be directly absorbed and utilized by the body after oral administration.
Methylcobalamin has better transmission to nerve tissue, is easier to enter nerve cells, and is more effective in treating peripheral neuropathy. Vitamin B12 is not recommended to replace methylcobalamin or adenosylcobalamin. When treating megaloblastic anemia caused by vitamin B12 deficiency, vitamin B12 and methylcobalamin are equally effective and can be used interchangeably.
